Thanks for asking. ;o) Human Design is a system that gives you information about your authentic style, strategy, decision making authority and purpose. It helps you accept yourself the way you are and empowers you to make authentic decisions. It categorizes each of us into four different types - generator, manifestor, projector and reflector.

I offer a copy of your chart along wih a basic written type overview for free, if you'd like to check it out. I would need your birthdate, exact birth time and birth location in order to run it for you.

My birthdate is Jan. 6, 1946, I was born in Norfolk, VA.

My sweetie's birthdate is Jan. 7, l947. He was born in Flint, MI. His name is Phil Ayliffe

We/ve been in a relationship for close to two years, now.

It is very interesting! There is so much depth to it, and it has really rung true for me. I've been studying it for over two years now. I'm in the professional analyst 3.5 year track. I'm currently being certified as a Human Design Guide - I will have that completed in about a month or so.

PS - I need your (and Phil's) exact birth time in order to get your chart and type overview to you. When you post that, I'll run your chart and email you the information. :D

My birth time was 6:30 am, I think... I'll go look at my birth certificate to confirm that. I'll have to ask Phil for his.

Is Human Design related to Astrology? Just asking, because the requested info is the same...

Yes, please double check and let me know. I won't run the charts until I know I have an exact birth time because it can drastically change depending on what time you were born.

It has pieces of astrology in it because the planets have a big influence in Human Design. However, the planetary focus of Human Design is more related to where they fall in the I Ching structure versus what astrological sign the planets are in. So, Human Design combines elements of astrology, the Chinese I Ching, the Hindu Chakra system and the Kaballah. It's an eclectic mix.

OK... I was born at 15:30 (military time) or 3:30 pm on January 6, 1946. Phil was born at 12:33 in the afternoon on January 7, 1947. Sooo I'm not quite a year older than he is. LOL

As to why I started the Joy Network, there are a few reasons. Ever since I became a member of MySpace, I really loved the concept of social networking. I thought it would be great to have the same type of network except with more depth and real "connection." I had actually been looking for a simple and free program to use for a few months now. I just happend to find ning this weekend. I also wanted to create a place for people to be able to express themselves with support from the network and not jeering or flaming. A safe place for people to be who they are. And yes, part of it has to do with marketing the Joy Guru web site and getting my name out there as well. :D
